I think every good forum needs a topic where we can post all the happy things in our life.  Smiley

So here's my list for now:
  • Being home from work!
  • My warm and comfy PJs
  • Getting to see old friends that I missed a lot!
  • Finally having a car!!

All very very good and happy things.   Cheesy

Almost time to leave work for today, it's rainy, I'm tired and ready for a warm bed to snuggle with my little Shih-tzu and snooze...oh, after a glass of Reisling of course.

I never had Riesling until a friend of ours brought some to a party about a year or two ago. After that, I got on a wine kick... poor Walley, he enjoys wine too but I think I burned him out on the Riesling. I remember the lady who brought the wine initially told me he talked to her at her job one day on lunch break, and asked for another option... he told her "just so long as it's not that f**king Riesling!"

Meanwhile... have you ever tried Gewurtztraminer? If you like Riesling - you'd probably like the Gewurtz, too.

We probably sold more reisling than any other varietal. A lot of folks like a little sweetness to their wine.

No I haven't tried that one, but I definately will. We both like wine, Steve is more partial to red wine (hence keeping him out of mine), but he did try mine one night and almost drank the whole bottle.
Hip I wasn't aware you guys ever sold spirits, I tried to make it over there before you closed up shop but something was always getting in the way.
I would like to open a bar (if I could stand the drunks) and it would be just like the bar on Cheers. We would have all the regulars come in everyday, have their names on their favorite seats, they would help themselves if I were too busy at the time....it would be really nice to have a cool new bar that isn't stuffed full of college students.

"I would like to open a bar"

So would I Jeep. It's always been a dream in the back of my mind. BTW we started selling beer and wine in 2005.  Here's a little clip from a wine event that we did about a year ago. Recognize anybody?

Yeah I recogonize you and your wife and the one other couple sitting at the table. I was actually going to come to that and I e-mailed you to ask a couple of questions about it but didn't hear back from you until it was too late.
I should have just come on but things were a bit different for different reasons back then. I was glad later that I didn't come.
Until recently I really wanted to open a bar. The state has put so many restrictions on alcohol sales and the liability itself is enough to break you but you can't afford not to have it. Well hell, you can't even get the license unless you have liquor liability unless you can prove that you have at least $100,000 to cover liabilities.
Whatever happened to the good old days when a person made a mistake and took responsibility for what happened, now everyone is "Sue" happy.
