I'd thought, hoped, that perhaps there might be more traffic here since the new and less improved TNews forum went through its most recent radical change.

I thought so too, JMHO. It went from bad to worse over there. I figured this one would be working alive because of it.

It might start picking up now. The T-News Forum has been down for hours this morning.  Shocked

It would appear the TNews forum is having growing pains as one in three times I try to pull up the site, I get an error message.

When that occurs, I usually swing by here, but alas, there are so rarely any new posts to review and/or respond to.

A shame.

T-News Forum has been down since about 2pm today, I believe. For a few hours, the whole TNews Website was down. No explanations forthcoming. I demand my money back! Huh What?

Not just the T'News. Every paper that is part of the New York Times Regional Newspaper group was down, All of the forums are still down. ONE of the papers had something on the front page of their web site saying their forums are down. t'news had two little tweets , neither tell us any real info.

I'm in withdrawal  Angry

Actually it's a better forum all the way....If the only time anyone comes here is when the other is down, it's a slap in the face to Snert and Tusc. Bum.....Just my 2 cents.

I know what you mean, jeep. I just meant that not everyone does the facebook thing,  and here and the other forum are the only places i really keep up with people, so when the other is down I was hoping to find somebody here but nobody had been here in weeks! I check in and out all the time here but usually it is just me here when i check in, haha, and i am no fun all alone. LOL

I liked it when we were all hanging out here and talking and all of a sudden everybody quit and went back over there, then they changed everything and I checked in here only to find, just me, again. oh, well i guess since i am here now again i am still all by myself, but maybe i will run into you again soon or some of the others who like this place, not that silly man who likes to give people grief over there. I saw he still is poking his head in here Sad

Hope i see ya here again soon. k?

I'm used to getting slapped in the face with these websites. Sometimes they're a hit, sometimes they're a bust. This one is pretty much a bust. What it really needs is some kind of expert. Not the Liberal Wisenheimer kind of expert. hahahaha!  A real expert. On topics that pertain to Tuscaloosa.

I've made at least 20 local websites. The ones that I'd consider a 'hit' all have high quality content that people want to read. I don't blame people for not coming here when it's been a month since the last post. I blame myself for that. But to be honest with you, I'm not that upset with myself.

My goal is to have this be a hot spot for finding out what the buzz is in Tuscaloosa. It'd be nice to have some kind of political expert, social scene expert, business expert and more. Unfortunately I have neither the time nor the skill to cover these topics. So, for now, we'll just kindof leave things as they are.

If ANYONE has ANYTHING constructive to say that would help get this 'low rent forum' to where it could/should be, I dare you.....

Other forum is down... again.  It might appear that the TNews forum is offline more than it is on since the February makeover.

Next time it's up... shouldn't be more than a couple of days... perhaps you could do another blurb about this, the alternative forum.  Even if it's used primarily as a secondary stop when TNews goes down, it will increase traffic and might serve as a bridge until or when your idea of topical experts comes to fruition.

Not a bad idea JMHO. I know that in the beginning a lot of people didn't want to come here and lose their post counts and stats....but they've lost that anyway.
Also, this forum isn't wide open to the drive bys and lurkers that happen on T-News forum because it's not on the front page of the news being advertised.
Nothing wrong with a small town....just sayin', but I would like to see the other peeps from T-News come here.
Snert and Tusc Bum are very fair and they don't stay on your butts the way T-News does.

A few folks dropping by, nothing much as far as new topics yet. What seems to be the problem with Tuscaloosa News lately, anyone know?
