I get so tired of the next door forum talking about homosexuals. I honestly believe that people should leave other people alone!!!

No, I don't condone it nor do I beleive one is born that way, but, I don't go around trying to convince others to believe the way I do, least not anymore.

I agree, to each his own.

But I do think a man could be born with a womans brain and vice versa, just as easy as someone could be born with other abnormalities.

I think 30% of homosexuals are born that way and the rest just choose to be.

I agree with you Snerty, but....lol where did the 30% come from?. someone was posting the other day about how 80% of responses that use percentages are thought up on the fly.........

I say I have a 50% chance of being right....lol

maybe it's more like 45% are born that way......conditioning takes in another 15%,  let's give 5% for just being to lazy to try anything past childhood experimentation, and another 5% that can't get a woman.........
10% probably ate the chicken at Church's, so that's environmental.....That only leaves about 20% that truly just want to be homosexual........

I didn't come over to this forum to be too serious, but will for a brief second.
It takes debate and discussion to open up acceptance and tolerance, on the path to doing away with discrimination. If everyone could live and let live, there would be no need to talk about it. I saw comedian Wanda Sykes on something the other day and she said that 'gay is the new black'. LOL

There may be a small percentage that choose it, another small percentage of those stemming from environmental influence (distrust or abuse by opposite sex as a child), but for the most part I believe the largest percentage are born that way.

I am not too sure the percentages are divided up as explained by Snerty's 'on the fly' percentage, or by Connie and her dang newfangled math :) But I didn't come here to do math either, and I am seriously cutting into my 'knock yall off the top of the score list' time... so I am done with the serious second. :D

I think there is evidence showing that homosexuals are indeed born that way. But in any event they are people and should be treated as such. Far too often religious people want to sit in judgment of them. Not cool.

But, I do agree that a person's sexuality is their own business and should not be flaunted. I don't go out and flaunt my heterosexuality, nor do I want to see homosexuality flaunted out in public.

I want to loose some weight too, I just cant get motivated.

Plus having vendors take me to lunch 2-3 times a week doesn't help any the way I like to eat!

I'm doing the program at the Bariatrics Health and Wellness center. It's great. I've lost 40 pounds in 7 weeks. When I started the program I was in a size 42 pant. Now I am wearing a size 36.

I've lost about 15 more pounds since I took the pic on my avatar and on my blog.

I just started a program about 3 wks ago, Bariatrics of Alabama. It used to be called Medifast, but it is called Metabar now I think. Anyway it is a fasting and shake/bar diet...is that similar Bama1977??

10 lbs so far for me! with quitting smoking, the pounds kept coming faster and faster!
Hopefully this will get me back on track  :)

Yes. As one poster said, it is a fast with shakes and bars. Although on my program I can have things like vegetarian sloppy joe, chik n fajita, cream of mushroom soup, etc.

The food is very good. Not bad at all. It's all designed for the fast...so I have to go through my doctor to get it. It's a chemical diet really.

I went back for my weigh-in Monday...I've now lost close to 50 pounds. If you want more information their website is www.bariwellness.com I highly recommend them.

You dont have to go through your doctor to get the food.  My wife gets hers from a website and its near half the cost.  Exact same food.

With the program I am on you have to go through the doctor as it is a prescription diet.

What I meant to say is you dont have to buy it from them.   She went to the same place you are going (Dr. Morgan).   She and several others that were on bariatrics pooled together to buy the food and saved a lot of money.

My wife said she would be glad to talk to you about it.   She says keep going and weighing in and seeing the nurse.   Just buy your food from that site.  They did not have a problem that she doesnt buy the food from them.

Yes, I heard you could buy the foof online also, but didn't realize the price was different. It all still goes to Dr. Morgan and his group one way or the other, they are the distributers, so they still get profit no matter where you buy it.

Bama1977, I am on the exact same, I can choose the soups, and chili and stuff. I also use the diet pills, so that is another advantage of going there each week. My day is Thursdays. I go back this pm.....I buy the vitamins from them, only 10 bucks for a month, and they do not make me sick like some other vitamins do. I can take them on an empty stomach without hurting.

Yea that site doesnt have everything.  There are several other websites that offer Bariatric food also.

I just came back from my appt. another 3lbs this week and I even cheated. Tuesday was bosses day, we took our boss out to lunch at one of my favorite places, so I had to enduldge!

I asked if they had an office in Ttown, they told me Dr. Morgan contracts for both clinics, but that they are owned and run by different folks.....
maybe the prices at your clinic are a little more, coz what I saw on the net were about the same. some of the soups were cheaper, but not by much.

Anyway glad to know I am not the only one using this type of program. It is important to stay healthy as you loose, so I feel good that I am not starving my body, although I do miss my own cooking  :13:

The prices I saw on that website were much cheaper than what I had been paying here at the Tuscaloosa office. A lot of the stuff I buy run about 15 bucks a box. On this site they were 9.99. I'll take a 5 dollar discount per box any day! lol

This site had all of the foods, shakes, puddings, soups that I like...so it was a good site for me. Usually I spend about 85-90 bucks a week on food from the clinic. I just bought 4 weeks worth of food from this site and saved well over 100 dollars. Wish I had known about it 9 weeks ago. I could have saved 300-400 bucks!

I am happy with the weight loss. I haven't cheated really (other than having a few beers now and then). But man I am jonesing for some Mexican or Chinese food! :42:

Yeah the shakes are 10 bucks at the office and websites, and the bars are about the same. I mainly do the bars and shakes strictly because they are cheaper.

I know what you mean about some Mexican food. I could really do that right now too!!

I am not a big beer drinker, about 2 years ago I did Adkins diet, I started drinking Tequila strait if I wanted a drink. Now that's what I do. Patron is soooo smooth....so in the evening if hubs and/or friends are having a few brewskies, I will take me a shot, and be good, with my diet coke the rest of the night!

OK...I cheated this week. I took my family out to a Chinese buffet on Monday. Couldn't help. I need Chinese food dang it! lol

Didn't eat too much...but enough to gain a pound! UGH...back to square one! ;D

I cant resist the Chinese either.   I eat it about 3 times a week and thats why I cant loose weight!
